Derek Roberts is 27 years old and is originally from Niagara Falls, New York. After his interest in magic was piqued at age 6, Derek fell in love with the new-found past-time. When Derek was 11 years old he was hired for his first professional magic show performance and by the time he had entered high school he worked as the house magician at three local restaurants as well as establishing himself in the community as a solid entertainer.

In 2001 Derek moved to Las Vegas to attend UNLV and in 2003 met producers Dick Feeney and Kevin James who hired him as their close-up magician for a new show. Derek became the youngest cast member of a new magic variety show in Las Vegas called “The World’s Greatest Magic Show” which still plays nightly at the Greek Isles Hotel and Casino.

After three years of entertaining at The World's Greatest Magic Show and nearly 1,000 performances magician Nathan Burton brought Derek onto his crew as head stage manager and magic consultant for his new show “Nathan Burton: Comedy Magic” –currently playing at 2pm in the “V” Theater at the Planet Hollywood Casino. Derek went on to help Nathan create some of the magic that Nathan performed on NBC’s hit summer variety show “America’s Got Talent”.

Most recent, Derek has just wrapped a tour of Puerto Rico as Head Magic Technician for "The Majestix Circus." When not being hired by some of the top magic professionals in the business to consult, teach, and invent for them Derek can be found frequently entertaining large corporations and private clients at various events and functions.
